I get a ton of requests for this tune, and since there are already so many classic versions on the 6-string, I figured I'd tackle it on the acoustic 12-string. I tuned the 12-string down a half-step, not only as an homage to Hendrix and Stevie, but because it always makes the 12 string sound a little bigger, fatter, and bluesier. | Justin Johnson

I’ve been really diggin’ this new “Blue Gc-CM 12” 12-String from Furch Guitars. It’s very easy to play for a 12-string and the tone is punchy, well-balanced, and full. I also like that it has a cutaway, which is great for playing this kind of 12-string lead, but also great for when you want to double parts with a high capo to fatten up strumming arrangements in the studio. For this arrangement of Little Wing, I tuned the 12-string down a whole step, which gives the guitar a slinky, bluesier tone
